Denette Mann is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapist, and Canine-Assisted therapist specializing in children, adolescents and family psychotherapy. She also works with adults dealing with trauma and performance issues using EMDR. She is currently in private practice with offices in Dallas, Texas and Richardson, Texas.

With over 10 years experience as a therapist, and a graduate of the University of North Texas specializing in emotional disturbances, attachment disorders, trauma, family issues and parent education. In addition, Denette has presented at Universities in the Philippines, trained University personnel in the Child-Parent Relationship Training program, and presented to general audiences on topics ranging from teacher child relational skills to parenting and family skills.

Denette is a therapist who works from the premise that individuals naturally grow toward positive adaptation to the world and want to be whole beings making use of all of their five senses and natural abilities. Her treatment approach is to provide a therapeutic relationship in a safe

and supportive environment utilizing toys, games, art, sand tray work, clay and talk therapy to help clients of all ages address life challenges that get them off track from being the whole, positive successful beings they were meant to be. She utilizes child-centered play therapy, activity therapy, Gestalt therapy and the EMDR protocol approach to offer what is most useful for each client. With commitment and compassion, she works with each client to help them identify and build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
